Job Description

Location: Pwllheli Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:45am–4:15pm, Friday 7:45am–3:30pm Salary: Competitive, with benefits The Opportunity A well-established, family-run food manufacturer based in North Wales is seeking a Quality & Compliance Coordinator to support continued business growth. This company is known for producing high-quality food products using traditional methods and supplies both its own premium brand and private label customers. Working closely with the Technical and General Managers, this role offers the chance to contribute to maintaining high standards in food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance. The Role In this role, you will monitor production processes, food safety controls, and finished product quality, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and food safety legislation including BRC. Key Responsibilities * Monitor manufacturing processes and verify critical control points through regular testing and observation * Record results, maintain accurate documentation, and report findings * Identify and isolate any products or materials that fall outside of specification * Calibrate testing equipment (metal detectors, pH meters, thermometers, balances) * Support the maintenance of HACCP plans and the Quality Management System * Carry out internal audits focused on hygiene, housekeeping, stock rotation, and food safety practices * Participate in sensory evaluation panels and contribute to product improvement initiatives * Provide training and support to team members where required * Work independently and collaboratively to maintain and improve quality standards About You * Previous experience in a QA or technical role within food manufacturing * Background in Food Technology or similar * Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations * Relevant qualifications such as Food Safety Level 2 and Internal Auditing are desirable * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow and enforce procedures * Clear communicator with sound literacy and numeracy skills * Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working under pressure What’s on Offer * A stable role within a successful and growing food manufacturing business * A supportive team environment that values high standards and continuous improvement * Competitive salary and benefits * Opportunity to develop your career in food safety, quality, and compliance If you’re passionate about food quality and safety and want to be part of a company that truly values its people and products, we’d love to hear from you.
