Interim Quality & Compliance Specialist
Hours - Fixed-term, 4 months, 40 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Alconbury,
Salary – up to £32,000
A leading FMCG business is seeking a Quality and Compliance Specialist on a 4-month interim basis at their Alconbury site. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment, supporting critical audit preparations and ensuring the business remains compliant with customer and regulatory standards.
As a Quality and Compliance Specialist, you will provide immediate, focused support to the Standards team during a crucial period. You will work closely with the Head of Standards and Technical Auditors to strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS), update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and review risk assessments. The role ensures the business is fully prepared for upcoming customer and third-party audits, and requires a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
Duties
Support the Standards team in audit preparation and compliance activities.
Review and update SOPs and risk assessments to ensure technical accuracy.
Help embed robust processes across the business to maintain audit readiness.
Apply root cause analysis to non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
Work collaboratively with Technical, Operational, and Standards teams.
Ensure compliance with customer Codes of Practice (COPs) and regulatory requirements.
The Candidate
Quickly understand and align with customer COPs and regulatory standards.
Strong accuracy in reviewing technical documents, risk assessments, and SOPs.
Ability to identify potential non-conformances and resolve issues proactively.
Use root cause analysis to address issues and drive improvements.
Build strong working relationships across multiple teams and sites.
Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholdersBefore You Apply
