Job Title: Quality & Compliance Officer Location: Hertfordshire Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE) Recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the forensic and digital services sector, we are seeking a Quality & Compliance Officer to join a high-performing team. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in quality, compliance, and risk management within a highly regulated and fast-evolving industry. The Role – What You’ll Do As the Quality & Compliance Officer, you will support all quality and compliance functions and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing management systems across a number of standards and certifications, including ISO and regulatory codes. Responsibilities include: Managing document control activities to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, 27001, 17020, 17025, and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice. Administering and maintaining the electronic Quality & Compliance Management System. Supporting root cause analysis, investigations, and 5WHY methodology for non-conformance, complaints, and other quality issues. Conducting internal audits and preparing relevant documentation and reports. Supporting the production of KPIs, internal communications, and senior leadership reporting. Engaging with external assessment and certification bodies. Promoting continuous improvement initiatives including FMEA. Building strong internal relationships across all departments to support quality and compliance goals. Candidate Profile – What We’re Looking For Essential: Working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 27001, 17025, etc.) and/or FSR CoP, or a strong willingness to undergo training. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage complex workloads. Strong IT skills including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams). Proven ability to adapt to new systems and software tools. Desirable: Experience in a regulated or forensic environment. Internal auditor qualification or audit experience. Previous exposure to root cause analysis methods. Background in process review and improvement.
