Job Title: Quality Controller
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm | 4 on 4 off rotation (Permanent, Full-Time)
Compass Point Recruitment is working with a fantastic fresh produce business based Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and we're on the lookout for a dedicated Quality Controller to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about food quality and safety to join a growing, values-led company.
As a Quality Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality of fresh produce meets company and customer expectations. You'll carry out regular checks, support compliance procedures, and work closely with the QC and Technical teams to uphold high standards throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform quality inspections on incoming and outgoing fresh produce
• Accurately record data and escalate non-conformance issues when needed
• Monitor product throughout production and packing processes
• Support with internal audits and external audit preparation
• Maintain traceability and quality records in line with site policies
• Communicate clearly with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Promote and follow Health & Safety and Food Safety best practices
What We're Looking For:
• Previous experience in a Quality Control role, ideally in food manufacturing
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot issues quickly
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts on a rotating pattern
• Computer literate and able to record data accurately
Shift Pattern:
• 6:00am to 6:00pm
• 4 on / 4 off rotation
