Job Description

Quality Control (QC) Operative – Temporary Contract

Location: Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6am–3pm, 8am–5pm, or 9am–6pm)
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour
Start Date: Ideally week commencing 24th November 2025
Contract Length: 3 months

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Operative to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the high standards of quality and compliance across all incoming raw materials and ingredients used in our production process.

Key Responsibilities

  * Carry out inspections of all incoming raw materials and ingredients.

  * Perform physical appraisals, label checks, sampling, and documentation verification.

  * Manage sample storage, documentation, and barcoding to ensure traceability and compliance.

  * Support the release of products to production that meet full regulatory and quality standards.

  * Work collaboratively with the wider team to uphold site-wide quality assurance procedures.

About You

  * Ideally, you’ll have experience working in a quality environment within manufacturing.

  * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.

  * Comfortable using IT systems for documentation and record-keeping.

  * A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
