Quality Engineer – Farnworth – Up to £40,000
We’re working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business in Farnworth, who are looking to add a skilled Quality Engineer to their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing quality, looking to join a forward-thinking company with a great reputation in their sector.
The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and improving quality standards across the business. You’ll be involved in new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and process improvements, ensuring all quality documentation and approvals are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and complete PPAPs and FAIRs in line with customer requirements.

Support production teams with day-to-day quality issues and continuous improvement activities.
*
Lead investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
*
Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and verify corrective actions.
*
Create and maintain key documentation – including Quality Plans, FMEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, and inspection plans.
*
Conduct internal and supplier audits, and support third-party audits as required.
*
Analyse quality data and report on KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
*
Support training and development to maintain strong quality awareness across the team.
About You
*
Background in manufacturing or engineering quality (automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering ideal).
*
Strong knowledge of PPAPs, FAIRs, and root cause analysis tools.
*
Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally.
*
Experience in auditing and supplier quality management.
Package

Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience.

Permanent, full-time role based in Farnworth.
