Quality Engineer
Location: Dengie, Essex
Salary: Circa £40,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
A leading manufacturing company in the Dengie area is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. You'll support quality across the entire product lifecycle, working closely with the Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager to maintain compliance with both customer and regulatory standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality professional from a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main quality contact within the Engineering department
Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements
Support and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
Assist in maintaining product Technical Files with Regulatory Affairs
Provide cross-departmental quality support, including shop floor and cleanroom areas
Conduct investigations and support continuous improvement initiativesSkills & Experience:
Engineering or technical qualification
Proven experience within a regulated industry
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar standards
Hands-on experience using quality tools (FMEA, RCA, CAPA, 8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
Experience with CE/UKCA documentation
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Lean Six Sigma knowledge (desirable)Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
Friday: 8:30am - 2:30pmBenefits:
