Quality Engineer - AWE (Outside IR35)
Location: AWE Site
Rate: £50 per hour (Outside IR35)
Clearance: Must hold current DV Clearance
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team supporting projects at AWE. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role across the full project lifecycle-from initial kick-off through to completion-ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are achieved throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Review and acceptance of procedures and documentation in accordance with QC1 requirements.
Conduct QC inspections in line with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Ongoing review and final acceptance of Lifetime Records (LTRs).
Carry out final release inspections to ensure all quality requirements are met.
Witness testing activities as required.
Attend project and quality-related meetings to support delivery and compliance.
Requirements
Active DV Clearance (mandatory due to project timelines).
Proven experience in Quality Engineering within complex or regulated environments (nuclear, defence, or similar).
Strong understanding of quality control documentation, inspection processes, and QC1 compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Contract Details
Outside IR35
£50 per hour
