Job Description

Quality Engineer Based Derby 6 monthly renewable contract £22.15hr PAYE / £28.79hr Umbrella = £42,764PA To start asap 37hrs per week Monday to Friday days Role Ensure Product Quality compliance according to Customer & Internal specifications Deploy Industrial Quality Standards per manufacturing process during manufacturing to support External Demerit at ZERO for Customer and improve IQ Performance with DpU (Defect per Unit), especially for Special Processes In short 1. Experience in writing Quality Control plans 2. Audit experience 3. Customer liaison experience 4. Rigor and Communication 5. Has the ability to negotiation and manage stakeholders 6. Working with Special Processes - Torque Tightening, bonding, riveting, painting, welding etc 7. Problem Solving experience, leading and being part of a team 8. Presenting data through quality animation. 9. Excellent at time management 10. Can work off own initiative 11. Driven and ambitious Accountability & Authorities Manage IQ activities in relevant workshop : People, Process & Performance Perform DpU / External Demerit analysis to lead efficient Line Quality Animation with industrial cross function team Support the decision for all Hand Overs (GO / NOGO) & keeps NO GO Veto Right in any case Stop the production if needed for mandatory reason (e.g. Safety impact needed rework) Participate to Criticality Matrix analysis & contribute to Process FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect & Analysis) Lead FAR & Participate to FMR / SMR Implement & Regularly update of Quality Control Plans during Pre & Serial manufacturing activities Ensure availability of Car History Book & Compliance of the manufactured products before shipping Support PIQ in scope Manage Internal NCR: Support NCR team to complete characterization until closure using Problem Solving methodology (e.g. QRQC) Participate in Customer Inspections Qualify manufacturing teams regarding the Self-Inspection Manage Workstation Dynamic Checklists (Self-Inspection & Workstation Inspection) Perform Workstation Audit & Follow-up Perform or participate to inspections of products when required (e.g. PCx) Performance Measurements External Demerit, Defects per Unit & First Pass Yield reductions to achieve objectives defined CONQ per unit (Cost Of Non Quality) reduction to achieve objective defined APSYS score objective for Industrial Quality requirements (Q09 to Q13 items) Requirements Ideally degree / HND in engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical…) or equivalent Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment Special Process Qualification minimum at Level 2 according to Quality Academy criteria's Experience in managing Quality tools (Problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, …) Processes knowledge on Quality and at Industrial level Management experience (For PIQ Manager / Leader) Using digital tools 5 years experiences in Industrial Experience in Project management or equivalent Experience in audit are appreciated Please note that if successful you will be required to undertake a pre employment Drugs and Alcohol test and medical questionnaire - full policy available on request
