Job Title: Group Quality Engineer
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
Location: Wimborne
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Group Quality Engineer to support and enhance quality assurance processes across the business. This role is key in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
Working Hours
Option 1: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:15pm
Option 2: Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage the Quality Clinic and oversee quality-related issues
*
Raise and submit customer concessions, monitoring progress through to completion
*
Manage job card material sign-off processes
*
Produce and analyse monthly KPI quality data
*
Analyse and report corrective action (CA) trend data
*
Manage customer returns and associated corrective actions
*
Oversee purchase order returns
*
Monitor internal corrective actions and ensure timely close-out
*
Liaise with customers on quality assurance and technical matters
*
Support customer-driven quality and continuous improvement initiatives
*
Ensure calibration records are maintained and up to date
*
Conduct internal audits and support external audits (supplier and certification bodies)
*
Assist in investigating and resolving audit findings and deficiencies
*
Review and submit customer FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) packs
*
Deputise for the Group Quality Manager when required
*
Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and HSE policies at all times

Requirements
*
Previous experience in a Quality Engineering or similar role
*
Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing, and compliance
*
Experience managing corrective actions and customer returns
*
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with customers and internal teams
*
Familiarity with inspection processes and documentation (e.g., FAIRs)
