Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Stonehouse
Hours: 39 hours per week Mon to Fri (early finish on Friday)
Salary: To be discussed on application + benefits
Key Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer:
* Take responsibility for quality processes and procedures across the business
* Mentor and support Quality Inspectors, ensuring best practice and consistency
* Support development and engineering projects with measurement strategy and planning
* Interpret technical drawings, GD&T and customer specifications
* Oversee calibration systems and ensure all equipment is controlled and compliant
* Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies
* Support and carry out internal and external audits
* Maintain and improve quality management systems and documentation
* Identify and report non-conforming products and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process improvement activities
* Support compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
* Promote a culture of quality across the business
Key Skills of a Quality Engineer:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
* Experience with CMM, contracer, Keyence and shadow graph equipment from a process or oversight perspective
* Experience with calibration, MSA and auditing processes
* Proven ability to support, mentor or lead others within a quality function
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
