Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer with a strong presence in the automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors, is currently seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team in South Molton. This permanent role involves providing quality assurance support across various sectors, ensuring that industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements are consistently met. Key Responsibilities: Provide Quality customer interface and expertise to ensure requirements are understood and met. Support manufacturing through data collection and analysis, ensuring product and process quality. Resolve technical and business process issues using methodologies such as 8D and Six Sigma. Implement and improve Quality Management Systems for new and existing products and processes. Participate in internal quality audits and complete part approval documentation. Analyse organisational quality metrics and recommend action plans to address gaps. Develop and improve inspection and test plans, standards, and procedures/work instructions. Investigate and resolve quality problems, following up on corrective actions. Job Requirements: Experience with ISO9001 and other relevant industry and customer-specific quality registration schemes. Proficiency in problem-solving methods including Six Sigma, 8D, and root cause analysis. Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques, such as pFMEA and Control Plans. Experience in quality system and process auditing techniques. Knowledge of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements. Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
