The Opportunity
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a high functioning team onsite in Cheshire. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring quality excellence across a highly regulated and technically complex organisation.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll be central to ensuring our engineering processes and deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Your role will span a variety of critical areas including:
Quality Control Plans: Create, implement, and maintain robust QCPs to ensure flawless execution.
Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse complex datasets to inform decisions, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
Project Lifecycle Support: Embed quality from design to delivery, influencing key project milestones.
Continuous Improvement: Lead quality initiatives that improve processes and prevent recurrence of issues.
Lessons Learned: Capture and apply key takeaways from quality-related incidents.
Compliance & Regulation: Stay current with ISO, ASTM, DIN, BSI and other standards—coaching teams on best practices.
Audits: Conduct internal and external audits to ensure standards are met.
Supplier Quality: Carry out supplier inspections and manage expectations to meet high-quality benchmarks.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Engineering Background: Especially in electrical engineering, with a strong understanding of technical business processes.
Standards Expertise: Proven knowledge of ISO, ASTM, DIN, BSI, and similar.
Quality Control Experience: Confidence in developing and implementing QCPs.
Audit & Certification Knowledge: Experience conducting audits and navigating certification processes.
Analytical Mindset: Comfortable interpreting and acting on complex data sets.
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong skills in root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Clear Communication: Able to convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
It’s great if you also have the following:
Experience with FMEA, RCA, or other risk-based tools.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Supplier relationship and performance management.
Proficiency in German (in addition to fluent English).
Willingness to travel, including internationally.
