Quality Engineer – Infrastructure Manufacturer
Location: Swadlincote
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Holidays: 23 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
Conduct inspections and testing of plastic fabricated products to ensure they meet specifications
Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive action initiatives
Support continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and reduce waste
Manage documentation related to quality standards, audits, and certifications
Liaise with production, engineering, and customer service teams to resolve quality issues
Assist in preparing for and conducting internal and external audits
Requirements
Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role, ideally within plastic fabrication, manufacturing, or a related industry
Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, lean manufacturing principles)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality management
