Job Description

Due to an increase in workload within the business, our client, a leading manufacturing business for the medical device market, are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer for the business on a permanent basis. As part of the Quality Engineering Team, candidates will be required to work with customers, supplier and internal staff to investigate and address NCR's raised and implement improvements. Interested candidates will ideally be Time Served/ Degree qualified in a engineering discipline with a demonstrable background within Quality Engineering with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes including Machining and Assembly. Knowledge of Cast or Forged products is advantageous Experience of working in a highly regulated industry such as Medical Devices (13485) or Aerospace (AS9100) is also a must This position is based on days and available for an immediate start. Hours - Mon – Thursday 0700 – 1600, Friday (Apply online only) Role Description * Provides and documents training on standard of work instructions, policies, and procedures in a timely manner to ensure team members have the required knowledge and skills prior to performing work independently. * Uses quality tools to implement improvements including process flowcharting, Pareto analysis, correlation and regression analysis, significance tests, design of experiments, statistical process control, gauge repeatability and reproducibility, and trend analysis techniques. * Acts as a customer liaison and processes customer quality complaints, as applicable. * Collects, Analyses, and Presents data using statistical methodology to support Product/Process improvement. * Assists suppliers with the interpretation of quality requirements, as applicable. * Assists the development of essential QMS deliverables/Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) including, but not limited to complaint analysis, risk analysis, failure mode and effects analysis, CAPA, and process/equipment/software verification / validation. * Develops inspection criteria that connect customer requirements and manufacturing processes that include identification of key characteristics, associated sampling plans, and required gauging. * Monitors engineering production processes and products for adherence to internal and external requirements and practices. * Participates in pre- and post-production launch reviews providing quality engineering support. * Performs quality reviews and internal audits; evaluates data and writes associated reports. * Recommends modifications to existing quality or production standards, where applicable, to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. * Reviews drawings to evaluate quality requirements including correct application of geometric dimensioning and tolerance, proper use of process and material specifications, and key characteristics for inspection plans and gauging techniques. Skills & Attributes * Time served or degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline * Experience as a Quality Engineer within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment. * Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including Machining and Assembly * Knowledge of forged/ cast products * Experience working within a highly regulated industry such as Medical devices or Aerospace Note: This vacancy is being advertised by Complete Talent Services Ltd who are acting as an Employment Agency
