Job description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality engineer to join an expanding fabrication company. The company work a static day shift and offer earlier finishes on Fridays.
Key responsibilities:
· Oversee quality assurance and control processes within fabrication shop.
· Conduct inspection and audits of sheet metal components to ensure compliance with specifications.
· Support ISO 9001 compliance.
· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a quality engineer in a fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of fabrication processes.
· Proven experience working with quality inspection tools including : callipers, micrometres, gauges and CMM.
· Knowledge of industry standards e.g. ISO 9001.
· Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
· Ability to communicate across the team.
