Job Description
Role: Quality Engineer (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Lancing, West Sussex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm (35 hours per week)
Pay: £18.68 per hour + holiday pay
6-month FTC
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join one of our growing clients, a leading manufacturing business based in Lancing, West Sussex, on a 6-month fixed term contract.
The Requirements:
ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 knowledge
Previous experience in process/product validation, with knowledge of validation principles and practice
Experience using quality tools such as OGP Smart Scope, Micrometre, Vernier, Tensile testing, etc
Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
Strong competency using MS Office tools
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong organisation and time management
High attention to detail and an analytical mindset
Good communication skills
The Role:
Manage change controls, including gathering impact assessments and ensuring timely approvals and closures
Design, develop, and document verification test plans, cases, and scripts to validate product performance, functionality, and compliance
Perform risk assessments and ensure validation activities meet regulatory and industry standards
Execute verification tests, analyse results, identify defects or deviations, and document findings
Document test procedures, results, validation reports, and track issues through resolution
Generate relevant documentation and reports to communicate test results and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with product engineering, development, and quality control teams to review requirements and identify improvement areas
Promote safety, quality, cost, delivery, people, and morale while ensuring GMP/GDP compliance
Adhere to health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Undertake any other task given by relevant stakeholders to support the role
