Quality Engineer
Location: On-site – Llanwrtyd Wells, Mid Wales
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + twice-yearly performance bonus
Benefits: 8% employer pension contribution (rising by 1% annually, no employee contribution required), plus excellent benefits
We’re recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Mid Wales. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives on detail and enjoys working across different departments to maintain the highest standards of quality.
The Role
* Support and maintain ISO 9001 and AS9120 certification requirements.
* Carry out and support customer and supplier audits, from preparation to follow-up.
* Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
* Investigate non-conformances, assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Maintain and update quality-related documentation and procedures.
* Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure standards are met.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in a quality assurance or quality engineering role within electronics, manufacturing, or another regulated sector.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9120, or equivalent quality systems.
* Confident with inspection tools, documentation, and compliance processes.
* Strong communicator with an organised, methodical approach.
* Familiarity with CECC, BS, or UK defence standards would be a plus.
