Job Description
Owen Daniels are a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Redditch who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established team. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career progression within a dynamic and forward-thinking company supplying into the Aerospace and Automotive sectors.
This role would suit a hands-on Quality professional with experience across APQP, 8D problem solving, 5 Why, PPAP, and root cause analysis, who is confident on the shop floor and has worked to 9001 standard.
The Role:
Supporting Quality activities across Aerospace and Automotive projects
Leading and participating in problem-solving activities (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.)
Liaising with internal departments and customers to resolve quality concerns
Reviewing and updating control plans, FMEAs, and standard operating procedures
Supporting internal and external audits (AS9100, IATF 16949)
Conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions
Generating and reviewing PPAP and FAIR documentation
Driving continuous improvement and supporting the Quality Manager The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in Aerospace and/or Automotive sectors
Strong understanding of ISO9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949
Practical experience with 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, and PPAP
Confident in a hands-on, shop-floor-focused environment
Good communication and problem-solving skills
