Project Quality Engineer:

We're seeking a hands-on, technically strong Project & Quality Engineer to take ownership of project quality management, this will include creating and managing documentation. This will be a hybrid role, and will involve a cross over of managing small scale projects. You will provide outstanding customer service and be effective with communicating with members of the internal Sales, Project, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure efficient delivery of projects. Experience within engineering, construction or a similar industry is essential for this role but any regulated industry experience would be preferable.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive, and looking to build on their project and quality skills.
Duties
- Working with the Sales Team to finalise order details, plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Manage small scale projects, through internal production teams to delivery.
- Create Project Quality Plans and manage hold/witness points.
- Conduct incoming and in-process inspections of components and assemblies.
- Maintain and improve QMS procedures (ISO 9001) and support both commercial and project teams with quality management.
- Compile lifetime record packs and technical documentation to demonstrate compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering and purchasing teams to plan builds, track milestones, and manage quality risks.
- Take part in project meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Involvement within project resources including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and track project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Prepare and present reports on project progress, risks, and outcomes to management.
- Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stake holders.

- Good communication – The role will require regular communication with management and members within the project team, customers and sub-contractors/suppliers.
- Organisation – The role will require someone who can multitask, effectively communicate project progress and maintain customer expectations.

- Proven experience in Quality Engineering or Project Quality Management within a precision, heavy, Aerospace, Nuclear or defence manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of fabrication, machining and welding processes and non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Experienced within compiling of PPAP, FAIRs and NCR reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience (3 year minimum) in a Quality project or Quality engineering environment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
