Quality Inspector (Electrical)

We are seeking a Quality Inspector (Electrical) to join a major construction programme. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in electrical systems inspection and a solid understanding of quality control processes on large-scale construction projects. You will play a key role in ensuring that all construction activities meet design specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of Long Lead Equipment (LLE) and Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Perform inspections of electrical works on site, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, security, and ICT systems.
- Verify that construction activities meet approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, local regulations).
- Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution.
- Support quality audits and engage in internal and external inspection processes.
- Review and verify contractor quality documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements.
- Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test outcomes, and quality-related communications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality processes and standards.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in a quality inspection role within the construction industry, focusing on electrical systems.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects, such as hyperscale data centres, industrial facilities, or life sciences environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction practices, materials, and testing methods.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Practical experience with installation and inspection of LLE and OFCI equipment in major project environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communicator with strong collaboration and coordination skills.
- Relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (diploma, degree, or equivalent).
