As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every product meets the highest standards before it leaves the factory — from dimensional and visual checks to electrical inspection. Working within a business that’s expanding fast, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining exceptional product reliability as new systems and technologies come online.
Job Responsibilities
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on electrical and mechanical assemblies
Conduct electrical testing and continuity checks where required
Verify components and assemblies meet all quality and safety standards
Record, report, and investigate any non-conformances or defects
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Maintain inspection records, test results, and quality documentation
Assist with internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with company and industry standards throughout the production process
Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong understanding of inspection processes, standards, and documentation
Experience with electrical testing or the ability to interpret wiring and circuit diagrams is highly beneficial
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality systems
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Relevant qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or quality assurance (e.g. NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC, or equivalent)
Pay and Benefits
38 hours per week
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm
Friday 7:30am to 11:30am
30 mins lunch
Starting salary – Circa £35,000
Overtime rates:
x1.33 for the first 4 hours
x1.5 thereafter
Ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent
