Job Description

Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to play a vital role in maintaining high product standards within a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for goods inward inspection of supplied manufactured components, as well as end-of-line product inspections where required. You will ensure all parts and finished products meet agreed design, specification, and customer requirements. You'll be a conscientious and detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure. You’ll also enjoy working as part of a collaborative team within a hands-on manufacturing environment. Quality Inspector - Key Responsibilities Conduct Goods Inward inspection on all incoming manufactured parts to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Perform end-of-line product inspections to meet agreed customer expectations. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and calipers. Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and 3D models. Record, report, and manage non-conformances, working with internal departments to resolve issues. Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes. Ensure defective items are controlled and segregated appropriately. Follow all Health & Safety and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Quality Inspector - Skills & Experience Previous experience in a Quality or Manufacturing role. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical components. Proficiency with standard measuring tools and equipment. Good computer literacy, ideally including Microsoft Word, Excel, and MRP/ERP systems. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths preferred. Quality Inspector - What’s on Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
