Quality Inspector
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Rate: £30000-£35000 per annum
Location: Reading
Hours: Monday- Friday, 40hours per week
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Goods-In Quality Inspector to join our team, responsible for ensuring all incoming materials and components meet specified quality standards before they are accepted into production.
Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:
Inspect incoming goods and materials
Verify supplier documentation
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI)
Identify, record, and report non-conforming materials to the relevant internal teams and suppliers.
Collaborate with the purchasing and quality departments
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records in line with company procedures.
Operate inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Maintain a clean and organized inspection
Skills and experience required for this Quality Inspector role:
Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection plans.
Proficient in the use of standard measuring equipment (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic computer literacy
