About the Role

As Quality Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that products and processes across the region meet the highest levels of quality, safety, and compliance. Acting as a trusted technical expert, you will provide oversight of product launches, changes, and compliance to key standards including ISO 13485, MDD/MDR, MHRA, and QSR requirements.
This position bridges strategy and execution, working closely with Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, Analytical, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure new products and changes are delivered on time and in full compliance. You will also drive issue resolution and continuous improvement using strong quality engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
  * Lead quality and compliance activities across Europe and Africa, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
  * Oversee and continuously improve the regional Quality Management System (QMS).
  * Partner with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of new product quality plans and change control processes.
  * Act as lead auditor during internal and external audits, maintaining readiness and ensuring follow-up on all actions.
  * Drive root cause analysis, problem solving, and risk management activities.
  * Provide quality oversight for product launches and design changes, ensuring measurable outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  * Mentor and guide teams on quality principles, compliance expectations, and continuous improvement.
  * Escalate and communicate key quality issues, ensuring visibility and timely resolution.
Skills & Attributes
  * Strong technical grounding in quality engineering, process validation, and compliance systems.
  * In-depth understanding of MDD/MDR, ISO 13485, MHRA, and related quality system regulations.
  * Proven experience applying risk management principles to medical devices or consumer products.
  * Strong project leadership and resource management capabilities.
  * Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex technical issues clearly and persuasively across teams and leadership levels.
  * Ability to think strategically, act decisively, and collaborate effectively in a matrix environment.
  * Resilient, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering reliable, compliant, and safe products.
Education & Experience
  * Degree in Engineering, Quality, or Science (or equivalent).
  * Minimum 8 years’ experience in quality, ideally within medical devices or consumer products.
  * Demonstrated success balancing strategic planning with operational delivery.
  * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical skills.
  * Experienced in leading audits and managing Quality Management Systems.
