Job Title: Quality Manager Location: Teesside, UK Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE Benefits: 24 days holiday (increasing after 5 years’ service), company pension, cycle-to-work scheme, and life assurance at 3x salary Working Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday The Company: A leading and forward-thinking manufacturing company based in Teesside is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their leadership team. Job Description: As a Quality Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. You’ll lead the Quality team, oversee internal and external audits, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation. Key responsibilities of the Quality Manager include: * Managing and maintaining an effective QMS in line with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA QSMR requirements. * Leading quality investigations, including customer complaints, non-conformances (NCRs), CAPAs, and supplier corrective actions (SCARs). * Coordinating internal audits and managing external (customer and regulatory) audits. * Overseeing supplier quality performance, including audits, qualification, and scorecards. * Supporting risk management and validation activities across departments. * Monitoring and reporting on key quality metrics and implementing improvement initiatives. * Managing and developing the QA/QC team to ensure high performance and engagement. * Providing quality support for new product introduction (NPI) projects. * Driving compliance, consistency, and quality excellence throughout the business. This Quality Manager role will suit a hands-on leader who thrives on improving systems, mentoring teams, and maintaining audit readiness in a fast-paced environment. Skills & Experience: To be successful in the Quality Manager position, you should have: * A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline. * 5+ years’ experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing or regulated environment. * Strong working knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA QSMR. * Experience leading audits (internal and external). * Proven background in managing CAPA, NCR, and supplier quality processes. * Excellent leadership and communication skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset. * Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Visio, Project, or Minitab is advantageous.
