This is not a “maintain the system” role.
This is a hands-on Quality Manager position where you will take full ownership of the Quality Management System, drive improvements, and influence how quality is embedded across the entire business.
You’ll be working within a well-established, profitable engineering manufacturer, supplying into regulated industries — where quality genuinely matters.
The Role:
You’ll lead and develop the company’s quality function, ensuring compliance, improving processes and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and improving the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
* Leading non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis
* Driving continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma mindset)
* Managing supplier quality and audits
* Overseeing incoming, in-process and final inspection
* Investigating customer complaints and implementing solutions
* Supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT) of machinery
* Delivering quality training and influencing site-wide standards
* This is a role where you’ll be visible, influential and expected to challenge the status quo.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong experience managing or improving a QMS in manufacturing
Solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
Background in engineering / machinery / batch manufacturing
Experience with supplier audits and compliance
Confident communicator who can influence at all levels
Someone who can lead, not just maintain
Desirable:
Internal or Lead Auditor (ISO 9001)
Experience within regulated industries (e.g. food / machinery)
