Job Description
Fortress Recruit is proud to partner with a global leader in aerospace systems to hire a Quality Manager for their UK manufacturing site in Fareham, Hampshire.
This is a pivotal leadership role within a high-performing operations team, responsible for driving quality strategy, systems, and continuous improvement across all aspects of manufacturing, product development, and supplier performance.
Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the quality function across operations, suppliers, and customers
*
Managing root cause investigations, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives
*
Implementing and overseeing compliance with quality management systems (AS9100, ISO9001, etc.) and internal audits
*
Supporting new product introduction with robust quality planning and assurance
*
Collaborating with Supply Chain on supplier performance and product conformity
*
Developing and coaching the site quality team, and delivering training on quality standards and tools
*
Using Six Sigma, 8D, and lean methodologies to improve process capability and reduce variation
To succeed in this role, you will have:
*
A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
*
Strong experience leading in a senior quality role within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
*
Knowledge and demonstrable experience of relevant quality certifications and systems (AS9100, ISO9001, etc.)
*
Expertise in quality tools and techniques including root cause analysis and statistical process control
*
A proactive, collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence at all levels
This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role based in Fareham, Hampshire, with relocation to a nearby advanced manufacturing facility in the near future.
