Quality Manager Stratford upon Avon
A growing organisation in the Rail sector is currently seeking a Quality Manager/Quality Engineer to join their team. As Quality Manager you will oversee quality assurance and control on heavy refurbishment projects.
The role will be based in Stratford upon Avon and will require occasional travel to Crewe and Swansea.
The role will form part of the governance team and work with all departments to lead the company quality management initiatives and ensuring product quality compliance with customer specifications and standards.
You will be involved in;
* You will champion a positive culture on site in line with company vision and values, promoting operational excellence and high quality management systems
* Lead on internal and external quality audits, ensuring certification and customer requirements are met
* You will oversee inspection and testing of rolling stock components, assemblies, finished units and other quality assurance processes on site.
* Working closely with Project teams to embed quality assurance checks, gates, milestones into project planning
* You’ll ensure all refurbishment work complies with technical specifications, engineering drawings and contractual obligations
* Prepare regular performance reviews and KPI’s
What they are looking for;
* Previous experience in a senior Quality Assurance role ideally in rail however other Heavy Engineering will be considered
* You will have experience of quality management tools, statistical analysis and MS Office applications
* Indepth knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality assurance systems
* Experience of managing internal and external audits
* UK driving licence and willingness to travel to other sites at times
* It would be great if you have any Six Sigma/Lean certifications.
The role is offering salary circa £50k plus 25 days holiday, contributory pension schemeBefore You Apply
