Quality Manager – Electronics Manufacturing
Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Benefits: 4.5-Day Working Week | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays | Company Pension
Type: Permanent | Full-Time
We are working in partnership with a well-established electronics manufacturing company based in Hitchin, who are now seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead their quality function.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business supplying into a variety of technical sectors. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards, managing compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO9001 and customer requirements
Conduct internal audits and host external audits with customers and certification bodies
Oversee quality inspection processes across production to ensure consistent standards
Manage root cause analysis and non-conformance investigations (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive quality improvements
Train and support staff on quality procedures and standards
Maintain quality documentation and ensure traceability throughout the product lifecycle
Act as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns and corrective actions
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment (ideally electronics or electromechanical)
Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and other relevant quality standards
Experience in internal auditing, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement
Confident communicator able to liaise with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
