Job Description
Alexander Steele continue to work with a leading food manufacturer that supply a range of delicious products to retailers and food service outlets across the UK. Due to growth the business is looking to appoint a Quality Systems Technologist to their team at their site in London.
On offer:
* Salary is £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience

The role:
* Manage the internal audit system and assist with external audits.
* Manage the labelling and quality database systems across the site.
* Carry out traceability and mass balance exercises as required.
* Manage the site laboratory testing schedule and oversee testing activities.
* Conduct raw material and supplier approvals, monitoring, appraisals, and audits.
* Coordinate and perform raw material sampling and microbiological surveillance.
* Attend supplier and raw material meetings as needed.
* Establish, manage, and authorise specifications for ingredients, packaging, and finished products, utilising internal expertise where relevant.
* Conduct allergen risk assessments, validation, and verification, while maintaining relevant documentation.
* Review technical KPI trends in conjunction with the site quality manager and implement corrective action plans.
The candidate:
* Min 3 years' experience in a similar position within food manufacturing
* Excellent IT Skills and ability to use Microsoft applications
* Food Safety Level 3
* Good understanding of BRC standards
* Bachelor’s in food science and technology – Desirable
* Effective communication skill both verbal and writtenBefore You Apply
