Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol (with travel across the South West)
Salary: 52000 + Company Car/Car Allowance + Benefits
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (Permanent)
Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a proactive and detail-focused individual to join our South West Projects Team, working across a variety of refurbishment and new build schemes. Based near MOD Abbey Wood, this role offers the chance to work on meaningful projects while supporting internal teams and external clients.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key part in estimating costs, quantities, and timelines for various projects. You'll provide critical business support to the wider Projects Team—ensuring compliance, controlling milestones, and facilitating excellent client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting cost advice and estimates for the Billable Works Team
Preparing project documentation, reports, and commercial submissions
Attending risk meetings and providing regular project updates to senior leadership
Supporting Health & Safety, Sustainability, and Quality compliance
Identifying opportunities for improvement and offering commercial insightThis role involves travel to multiple sites across the South West region, so flexibility is essential.
What You'll Need
HND/Foundation Degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
Experience in construction or property maintenance sectors
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in cost modelling and risk management
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
Full UK driving licence
