Quantity Surveyor – Civils
Location: Basildon (Office-based) | Energy Division
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 benefits
A high-quality, family-oriented building & interiors group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Energy Division in Basildon. While based in the office, the role will involve close commercial management of major onsite civils works, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all cost and commercial aspects of civils projects from the Basildon office.
* Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts.
* Administer contracts, variations, and claims in line with project requirements.
* Liaise with site teams, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure robust financial control.
* Provide accurate cost reporting to safeguard profitability.
Candidate Requirements:
* Strong background in civils-related quantity surveying.
* Solid knowledge of NEC or similar contract forms.
* Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with both office and onsite teams.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
