The Company
Sourced Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a long-established and growing regional construction and fit-out contractor operating across the North West. This business delivers a range of high-quality projects in the NHS, education, and public services sectors, including schools, doctors’ surgeries, and emergency service facilities.
Projects typically range between £500k and £4 million, so prior experience managing contracts of this scale is essential. Larger project experience is absolutely welcome, but a strong handle on mid-value schemes is the key.
They’re offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to grow within a structured commercial team — with a pathway to Commercial Lead available for those who show initiative and commercial acumen.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager and wider delivery teams to ensure smooth financial and contractual management of fit-out and refurbishment projects. You’ll have the autonomy to run your own projects while receiving support to continue progressing in your career.
Key Responsibilities:

Full cost management from procurement through to final account
*
Prepare valuations, variations, interim applications, and final accounts
*
Manage subcontractor procurement and performance
*
Monitor and forecast cash flow and cost reports
*
Contribute to team-wide commercial strategies
*
Drive best practice, commercial awareness, and profitability on-site
Requirements
*
Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector
*
Comfortable running projects from £500k – £4m in value
*
Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC)
*
A proactive mindset with aspirations to take on more responsibility
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*
Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying
