Location: Hybrid | Ideally based between Nottingham and Sheffield
Project Values: £5m – £30m
We’re on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor who’s ready to take control, not just count the numbers. Thanks to continued growth, a brilliant opportunity has opened up to join our main contracting team and oversee exciting projects across multiple sectors – from cutting-edge healthcare builds to hospitality, retail, education, and even high-value defence schemes.
If you’re a Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years’ experience, and you’re based between Nottingham and Sheffield (with the flexibility of hybrid working), this role is tailor-made for you. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts is essential, as you’ll be driving commercial success from project conception right through to final accounts.
This isn’t a back-office role – as a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be hands-on, making decisions that matter, and ensuring each project delivers maximum value.
What you’ll be doing as our next Quantity Surveyor:

Taking full commercial control of projects from start to finish

Managing NEC contracts with confidence and clarity
*
Preparing and managing accurate cost estimates and budgets
*
Monitoring cash flow and financial performance across projects
*
Valuing completed works and arranging payments to subcontractors
*
Assessing, pricing, and negotiating variations and claims
*
Preparing and presenting monthly cost reports to senior management
*
Assisting with procurement and letting of subcontract packages
*
Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
*
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
*
Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
*
Driving value engineering to deliver best value for client and contractor alike
