Job Description

Astute's Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit as Quantity Surveyor to oversee the Cladding and Steel Works package work on a 18 month contract for its Scotland site. The Quantity Surveyor role comes with a rate of £650 per day. Key skills: Manage the procurement, cost planning, and commercial management of cladding and steelwork subcontract packages. Administer contracts in line with NEC/other forms of contract, including change management, variations, and claims. Conduct regular valuations and prepare interim and final accounts. Support the project team with commercial input, providing accurate cost forecasting and reporting. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contract compliance and cost control. Assist in the preparation and negotiation of subcontractor agreements and payment applications. Ensure commercial risks are identified and mitigated early. Provide support during site progress meetings and commercial reviews.
