Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for structural steel projects.
Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine scope and pricing.
Liaise with engineers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements.
Source subcontractor and supplier quotations and evaluate pricing competitiveness.
Prepare bills of quantities and cost plans.
Monitor project costs and variations during construction phase.
Assist in contract administration and final account preparation.
Support project teams with commercial advice and cost control strategies.
Maintain accurate records of all estimating data and project cost history.
Key Skills & Experience
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
Experience in structural steel fabrication or construction sector preferred.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
