Quantity Surveyor - Refurbishment & Social Housing - Freelance
A leading UK property maintenance and refurbishment contractor are busy and have just been awarded a new contract from a key client
They need an experienced QS who can hit the ground running and take full commercial ownership of a new project.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Pricing and evaluating works, materials, and services
* Managing client relationships and commercial discussions
* Producing accurate cost‑to‑complete forecasts
* Reviewing contract conditions and advising delivery teams
* Ensuring compliance with H&S, legal, and quality requirements
* Preparing and submitting loss & expense claims
* Leading your own projects commercially from start to finish
* Completing post‑project commercial evaluations
What You’ll Bring
* Strong QS experience within construction
* Refurbishment background — ideally social housing
* Solid contract knowledge and commercial awareness
* Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
* Excellent analytical and financial capability
* Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates 6 & 7
