Job Description

Quantity Surveyor - Groundworks Quantity Surveyor - Saxton Recruitment is partnering on an exclusive role with a groundworks and construction contractor to appoint a Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work play a key role in an expanding business based in Derby operating as a groundworks contractor and main contractor on building projects. Why Apply: They have a track record delivering groundworks, minor civils and construction projects across commercial, healthcare, custodial, blue-light sectors with values ranging up to £2m. They have an excellent reputation with a strong pipeline of work and a solid repeat client base with projects spread across the East Midlands - and a focus on training, development, and progression of the team. Salary & Package: - Basic salary of £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) - Company Car or Car Allowance (£5K) - Company Pension & Healthcare - Company Bonus Scheme Key Benefits: - Work on local projects for a growing specialist contractor - Full order book of work across various sectors - Personable and supportive team environment - Continued training and career progression Key Duties: - Procurement and managing sub-contractor packages - Organising payments and compiling reports - Managing project variations and valuations - Produce accurate records and reports Requirements: - Experience working with a construction contractor - Experience working as an Assistant QS or QS - Experience working on 'live' projects - Industry related qualification To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must be able to demonstrate a track record working as a Quantity Surveyor delivering construction projects ranging from £1m+.
