A motivated and detail-driven Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in construction, specialising in healthcare and social housing developments. Demonstrates excellent cost control, contract administration, and project management skills, with the ability to work across multiple sites. Confident working independently while contributing effectively to integrated design and delivery teams.

A respected main contractor specialising in the design and delivery of Healthcare and Social Housing projects across the South and East of England. Established in 2003, the company has delivered over 650,000 sq ft of development and continues to expand with multi-phase projects in progress and a strong pipeline ahead. Working collaboratively alongside dedicated design and development teams, the business offers a rare opportunity to be part of a fully connected construction process — from concept through to completion.
The Role
An exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing contractor. The role plays a pivotal part in managing commercial project delivery while liaising with site teams, clients, and subcontractors. You’ll ensure cost efficiency, maintain financial control, and contribute to the smooth execution of healthcare and community construction projects across East Anglia, the Midlands, and the Southeast.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates, tender documentation, and project budgets.

Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and payments.
*
Monitor project variations and ensure cost control across all stages of construction.
*
Conduct regular site visits to liaise with on-site teams and maintain budgetary targets.
*
Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal design/development teams.
The Candidate
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in healthcare or housing construction.
*
Strong knowledge of cost planning, tendering, and post-contract administration.
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities.
*
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to live sites across key regions.
*
Relevant academic qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
