ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expert restoration team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the commercial and financial aspects of projects, ensuring the delivery of exceptional outcomes that reflect the company’s renowned standards of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for restoration and conservation projects.
* Oversee project costs from tender through to final account, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
* Evaluate and manage subcontractor and supplier quotations, procurement, and payments.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, variations, and valuations.
* Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to maintain clear financial and contractual communication.
* Contribute to tender preparation, contract negotiations, and value engineering exercises.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and relevant legislation.
REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction, restoration, or heritage sector.
* Strong understanding of traditional building methods, conservation principles, and specialist materials.
* Excellent commercial awareness and contract administration skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating or cost management software.
