Senior Quantity Surveyor – Livingston / Central Belt

Peace Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading privately owned housebuilder as they look to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to their growing commercial team, based from their head office in Livingston.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and respected developer operating across 11 live sites throughout the Central Belt — delivering a diverse mix of luxury homes, apartments, and affordable housing developments.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in controlling, reporting, and driving the commercial success of multiple live sites. You’ll work closely with the wider project and commercial teams to ensure each development is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage procurement of sub-contractors, materials, and plant
*
Evaluate tenders and prepare cost comparisons against budget
*
Oversee valuations, payments, and financial forecasting
*
Monitor project costs and prepare monthly cost reports
*
Support Site Managers and Project Teams with commercial decisions
*
Prepare cash flow projections and progress updates
*
Contribute to land appraisals and future site costings
About You
*
Ideally RICS-qualified or working towards chartership
*
Minimum 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience (residential background preferred)
*
Experience in flatted and/or housing developments advantageous
*
Confident communicator with strong commercial acumen
*
Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Teams
*
Able to manage workload independently while collaborating within a team
