Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor seeking your next challenge with a leading contractor? Our client, a highly respected and award-winning main building contractor based in Gloucester, is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of several high-profile schemes. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will ensure financial control and contractual compliance from inception through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage project budgets and cost plans

Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts
*
Procure and manage subcontracts, ensuring compliance and value for money
*
Monitor project progress and identify cost variances
*
Work closely with the delivery and design teams to ensure project success
*
Report on financial performance and forecast future spend
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment
*
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
*
Solid understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation
*
Consistent work history with reputable contractors
*
Must reside within a commutable distance of Gloucester
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
