With over 100 years of industry experience, we support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, and Food & Beverage sectors to deliver next-generation, value-added engineering projects.
Salary & Working Pattern
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Location: Grangemouth, Scotland
Hybrid working available following the initial probationary periodWhat will you be doing?
We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys keeping projects running smoothly — commercially, contractually, and financially.
In this role, you will:
Prepare and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Produce clear, accurate weekly progress reports.
Use Unifier software to submit contract notices and manage compensation event quotations.
Monitor costs, labour, and materials to protect margins.
Place subcontract orders and support tender activities.
Work closely with project teams to identify risks early and maintain effective delivery.
Play a key role in ensuring projects are managed with accuracy, care, and collaboration.
What you’ll bring
Ability to provide clear, supportive commercial guidance to project teams.
Confidence in sharing ideas and improvements with Project Managers and Key Account Managers.
Flexibility in working with various cost models (lump sum, target cost, reimbursable, day work).
Commitment to development through annual reviews and ongoing training.
Collaborative team approach — ideally RICS qualified, with NEC and utilities experience.
Experience mentoring junior QSs and encouraging their progression.
