QUANTITY SURVEYOR - CIVILS
POSITION : Quantity Surveyor - Civils
LOCATION : Commutable from Doncaster , Hull , Beverley , Leeds , Selby , York , Grimsby , Scunthorpe, Bridlington , Sheffield
RATE : £30 - £40 ph PAYE or Ltd Co. (outside IR35) available
THE ROLE : Our client is an established and well respected multi -disciplinary consultancy. This is a long term freelance opportunity ( 18 - 24 months) for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on a large multi million pound Highway project in Yorkshire. The role will be a mix of office , site and some working from home and will be 40 hours Monday to Friday.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :
* Significant previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on Civils projects. Applications are welcome from experienced QS's with either client side or contractor experience
* Experience of NEC 4
* Min HNC/HND level of relevant Construction/Quantity Surveying qualification.
* Experience of producing detailed cost plans, ensuring the project stays within budget and meets financial targets
* The ability to review appraise, and report on main contract and sub-contract tenders. This includes evaluating bids, assessing their suitability, and providing recommendations to decision-makers.
* The ability to review, appraise and report on site changes ( compensation events)
