Job Description

A leading global consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing infrastructure team, supporting major AMP8 water projects in the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, long-term programmes, developing your expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team delivering cost management services across a portfolio of complex AMP8 water and utilities projects. This role offers strong career development, hands-on project exposure, and the chance to build expertise in NEC contracts.

The role is based in Exeter, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office). For candidates based further afield, accommodation (2 nights per week) and expenses can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Support the commercial and cost management of infrastructure projects from inception through to completion

Assist in preparing cost plans, budgets, and financial reports

Support procurement processes and tender documentation

Assist in the administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events and change control

Monitor project costs, variations, and financial performance

Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery

Ensure compliance with contractual and governance frameworks

About You

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within consultancy or infrastructure environments

Working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential), with exposure to contract administration and change control

Experience in AMP8 water, utilities, or civil engineering projects is advantageous

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Proactive, organised, and keen to develop technically

Working towards professional accreditation (RICS or equivalent)
