Quantity Surveyor – Façade Remediation – Brighton
£60,000 – £80,000 + Package
Location: Brighton, UK
Sector: Façade Remediation / Cladding / Construction
Employment: Full-Time

A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of façade remediation projects in Brighton.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial resources of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin and profitability. The role involves managing subcontractors, procurement, cost control, project valuations and financial reporting while ensuring commercial and contractual risks are effectively managed.

Working closely with the Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will support the successful delivery of remediation projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of assigned façade remediation projects
• Monitor project budgets and track gross margin and profitability
• Manage project cash flow and financial reporting
• Prepare and maintain monthly CVR and CTC reports
• Provide financial forecasts and performance updates to senior commercial leadership
• Create and maintain procurement schedules aligned with project programmes
• Procure subcontractors, materials, and plant packages
• Manage subcontractor contracts, valuations, and payments
• Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
• Negotiate and agree project variations with clients and subcontractors
• Measure and value works for client invoicing and subcontractor payments
• Support project delivery ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to required quality standards
• Ensure documentation and procedures are completed for practical completion and project closeout
• Support the mentoring and development of Assistant Quantity Surveyors
• Work closely with operational and project teams to ensure commercial success

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
• Proven experience working on façade, cladding, or remediation projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial management, procurement, and contract administration
• Experience managing subcontractors and procurement processes
• Must be based within commutable distance of Brighton
