Job Description

Quantity Surveyor - Devonport Dockyard (Plymouth)
 Rate: Up to £430 per day (Umbrella PAYE) 
We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a major redevelopment project within Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile, secure MOD site within a dynamic commercial team. 
Key Responsibilities:

Provide commercial and contractual support to ensure project performance targets are met
Manage cost reporting, forecasting, and budget monitoring
Measure works and agree valuations with clients and subcontractors
Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
Ensure effective cash flow and timely payments
Administer contract changes and manage commercial risks
Requirements:

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role (construction/infrastructure preferred)
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in a commercial/quantity surveying discipline
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:

Experience with CEMAR and Coins/Causeway systems
Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, ICE)
Security Clearance:
 Due to site requirements, BPSS clearance is required (can take up to 8 weeks). Applicants must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years and hold a NATO/MISWG country passport.
