Job Description

Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - West Midlands

We are working with a leading main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across the West Midlands. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

Projects span education, custodial, healthcare, commercial and wider public sector sectors.

The Role

You will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance and successful delivery.

Key Duties

Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs

Valuations, variations and final accounts

Subcontract procurement and account management

Contract administration (JCT / NEC)

Risk, opportunity and margin management

Working closely with operational teams

Requirements

Proven QS experience with a main contractor

Strong commercial project experience essential

Experience on schools, prisons, education or public sector projects preferred, not essential

Tier 1 background preferred

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

Able to manage schemes independently
