Job Description

Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering About the Role We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering to join a growing and dynamic team. This is an office-based role (5 days per week) offering the opportunity to work on a range of civils projects while developing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking business. Key Responsibilities • Manage project costs from initial estimates through to final accounts • Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor packages and agreements • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow • Identify and manage risks, variations, and cost changes • Produce accurate valuations, applications for payment, and financial reports • Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial success • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions Requirements • Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector • Strong knowledge of civils projects (e.g. groundworks, infrastructure, drainage, highways, etc.) • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively • Strong communication and interpersonal skills What We’re Looking For • A motivated individual who is eager to grow and develop within a business • Someone who thrives in a team environment and is committed to long-term progression • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of projects What’s on Offer • Clear opportunity for career progression within a growing company • Supportive working environment • Exposure to a wide range of civil engineering projects
